When a new slot opens — from airport expansion or rival closure — a sealed-bid auction begins. Find Slot Auctions in the Rivals dropdown or press Shift+U. Three months, all airlines bid blind, highest offer wins. You'll get notifications about rival bidding activity — hints, not exact numbers.
